Fisher & Paykel Building 4
Fisher & Paykel
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Building 4 is a two-storey structure with a footprint of over 35,000m2. The building contains a mixture of R&D, manufacturing, office and warehousing areas. Large span portal frames span up 48m to achieve a column free space for manufacturing and warehousing. The slab for the warehouse is post-tensioned to provide a high-quality finish and to be able to resist large loadings. Due to the length of the building, expansion joints are located at several locations to allow for thermal movement of the building.
Jonathan Tait completed the regulatory peer review of the superstructure and foundation design during his time working at Structus.
