Multi Unit Residential
Hasting Lane is a boutique development of five architecturally designed three-level homes in Mairangi Bay, Auckland. The lower floor consists of reinforced concrete masonry walls supported on a concrete foundation system. Due to an extensive overland floor path the ground floor was constructed using a suspended concrete slab to raise the level of the building. The majority of the superstructure consists of timber & LVL floors and walls. Lateral bracing is provided by a combination of steel portal frames and GIB braced walls.
A regulatory peer review and design optimisation review were completed by Jonathan Tait. The review resulted in significant savings in the structure cost and allowed for a streamlined consenting process.
